Sunday Selfie #24 {Bear Kitten/Kitty - other}

I know I'm handsome. So joining The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies blog hop is a no brainer!

Momma raided my kitten pictures and we have enough for a couple weeks. As she says, "What's better than pictures of Bear Cat? Pictures of BEAR KITTEN!!!" The first set of Bear Kitten/Kitty pictures comprise Sunday Selfie #22 {Bear Kitten/Kitty - the couch}. Last week's selfies, Sunday Selfie #23 {Bear Kitten hijinks}, included my kitten hijinks. This week, I'm sharing more pictures of Kitty and I when I was a kitten (ten years ago).

After viewing my pictures, you're MORE than welcome to express your appreciation of this fine feline specimen with tasty whole chickens ... my Momma will give you the address (just tell her you're sending me socks!). ~Bear Cat

For those of you who don't know ... I was homeless and about eight months old when Momma and I met ... so please excuse the lack of tiny kitten pictures. Kitty and I weren't exactly best buds ... I don't understand why?!?!

Don't get too close, Momma! Now that I have a sister ... I have to keep her safe! You should know she doesn't like being bothered ... hmmm. Surely, I don't bother her, right? I mean I'm CUTE and all ... surely that gives me some leeway?!?

What am I staring at so intently? Err ... she's moving! She's moving! Oh, no wait. She's just breathing. Darn!

You think that's cute?!?! You like Kitty better just because she has one partially white paw. Hmph! I do believe she's mocking me and rubbing it in.
{Kitty: "That's right, Junior. This is how it's done! Treats in ... five ... four ... three .. two ... one!"}

What do you mean, what am I doing? I'm just guarding Kitty's water and food bowls! Some cat's been eating her food and drinking her water!
I have a drop of water hanging from my chin?!? Err ... all this guarding made me thirsty so I didn't think she'd mind if I took a sip. Her food bowl?!?! No! It's still full! Mostly.

I just want to give you a hug! You seem ESPECIALLY grumpy today! You DEFINITELY need a hug!
I'll wait however long it takes ... I'm GIVING YOU A HUG!!!

My ears look huge. And yet, I am still the cuter cat. But I'm going to watch this other one just in case. Plus, she might do something interesting ... besides, you know, sleeping ...

I'd back off, Momma. You know she's hissing at you!
Err ... or not. WAIT?!?!? You're allowed to TOUCH her?!?! That's so NOT FAIR! I WANT TO TOUCH HER TOO!!! I still haven't given her that hug!

  1. Oh Bear, you were and are the most charming of kittens and cats. Guarding the food is an absolute must for any companion. I wonder, did you ever get that hug you were after? purrs ERin PS. As I have an 'active pantry', I have to spend loads of time outdoors checking many mouse holes just to make sure they are fully stocked. Sadly I have never come across a tasty chicken hole. If I do you shall be the first to know! Purrs E

    1. Thank you, Erin. I bit Kitty's neck a couple times ... I'm guessing that doesn't count ...
      Hmmm. I've never thought to look for food in holes ... this gives me ideas ... don't worry ... if my Momma asks, I didn't hear it from you!

  5. Did Kitty get to love you? Our Kitty Yumbum hated me and Eric when we first arrived, but before too long she wouldn't let us out of her sight and followed us everywhere.

    1. No. We had moments of fragile peace after six months or so and then Kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Don't tell anyone, but I kind of miss her too. We love the story of the two of you and Yumbum :) ~Bear Cat

  11. Aaaaaaaaaw Bear, you were adorable. It doesn't matter what kinda of baby fotos ya' have. Ya' know, mommy got sis Lexi when she was 10 minutes old. But back then, all they had was a 35mm camera and no money fur film or developin'. So mommy doesn't have many kitten fotos of sis Lexi either. She hates dat, but fur sure made up fur it da last few years. Your mommy will do da same thing. Mommy cherishes each and every foto, even da bad ones. Anyways, Kitty be gawjus. too. Big hugs to ya'll.

    Luv ya'

    1. One of the reasons Momma is happy she blogs is because she has gazillions of digital pictures of me! These are the only digital pictures she has of Kitty and that makes her sad. Hmph. I'm handsome enough for BOTH of us! Thank you :) ~Bear Cat

  16. Love seeing all your photos dear Bear. Furry nice of Kitty to let you guard her from afar. Wish you could have known her longer or when Kitty was younger. You might have been able to snuggle. -Purrz from Katie Kitty Too
