Commanded Cat

BC: Bear Cat
MK: Momma Kat

Now that Momma is safely back from the Blogpaws conference, we'll share our conversation from last Wednesday, the day before Momma left.

Daily conversation - Commanded Cat:
BC: {spreading out, splayed on the floor} Whew! I'm tired.
MK: I haven't seen you all day!
BC: I know. I'm actively avoiding you. That's why I'm exhausted.
MK: Wait, WHAT? Oh. Because I'm leaving for the conference tomorrow.
BC: You're leaving?!?!?
MK: Isn't that why you're avoiding me?
BC: NO! It's just a normal Wednesday!
MK: Uh oh.
BC: YOU'RE LEAVING ME!?!?!? I'm going to starve! I'm going to be all alone! I won't have anyone to snugg ... AVOID! I'll be at the mercy of the elements!
MK: See. There you go. You can come snuggle with me and save energy since you're exhausted from avoiding me.
BC: Noooo. Now I have to avoid you AND be mad at you.
MK: Bear ... last time you got mad about me leaving ...
BC: $#!+ got broken. I was there. So little time ...
MK: I thought you were exhausted?
BC: I WAS.
{CRASH!!!}
MK: BEAR!
BC: Oopsie.
{BOOM!!!}
BC: Hehehehe. That was a GOOD one!
MK: BEAR! If you don't pace yourself, you'll have everything in this house broken in fifteen minutes!
BC: You compliment me, my dear. My estimated time of destruction was twenty-five minutes. But I accept your challenge!
MK: That's not what I ...
{THUNK!!! KKKKKKAAA-SPLEEE-IIIIIT!}
MK: You're grounded!
BC: YOU WON'T BE HERE TO ENFORCE IT!
{CRASH!!!}
MK: Hey! I was going to ...
{THWACK!!! SSSSSSSPPLLAAAAT!}
BC: Wait! You can't lock yourself in the bathroom! You have to witness the destruction!
MK: Bite me!
BC: Okay!
MK: OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
BC: You said to bite you!
MK: I find it HILARIOUS, that THAT was the command you listened to.
BC: Did you say something?
MK: Exactly.
{CRAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSH!!!}
And on and on ...

Pictures (and featured post) of the Day:

What does the Momma Kat household look like the day Momma returns from a trip? A few pictures of all the best things ... the things that make everything else worth it ... the things that make EVERYTHING right in the world after a few days of "off-center" ... my heart. To see the full post: Sunday Selfie 4.5 (Special edition).

Bear approves of the swag ... just not so much my absence ... or maybe my re-presence?!?!? (illustrated in a way that is 100% feline!!!!).

    1. My Momma took it all away until she could document and photograph it. And then she slept for 20 hours. CRUEL and UNUSUAL punishment! Not that I didn't take matters into my own paws while she was sleeping ... hehehe. ~Bear Cat

  3. Aaaaaaaaw Glad ya'll are back together again. We's feelin' swag withdrawal here. Last year sis Lexi had a blast at BlogPaws and we had hoped we would all go again. But alas...Maybe next year we can make a new tradition. And maybe Bear, you could hide out in one of those suit cases and we could meet up. Now wouldn't dat be fun. :) Furgive your mommy, you know you wanna.

    Luv ya'

    1. Aww. That makes me sad that we didn't get to meet Lexi. I hope Momma gets to meet all of you next year. She can't stop talking about all the people and cats (HELLL-O Summer!!!) she got to meet this year. I don't think I'd like going ... but as long as the swag keeps coming, I'll tolerate her absence for a few days. ~Bear Cat

  4. That swag will help him come around, for sure! Getting home to your cat(s) after being away is always a special reunion. Bear, Ashton used to punish the head peep for exact number of days that she was gone. We hope you don't do that, too!

    1. She gets frustrated and flustered sometimes and just blurts out nonsense. Plus, I had to give her something to remember me by AND I had to properly mark her as mine in case any of the animals she met at the conference thought she was available :) ~Bear Cat

  7. Hey Bear! Isn't the swag AMAZING??? It's almost worth having the humans leave in order to get it. :)

    1. I know! It's like being quadruple paid for not having to deal with human annoyingness for a few days! REAL toys! LOTS of food! Though my Momma took it all away until she could document and photograph it. Don't worry. I dug the sparkle ball out from the bottom of the toy bag :) ~Bear Cat

    We get how great it is to see our babies after we go away so we understand completely! Welcome home:)

    1. I did have fun. I was sad to leave which I'd have thought was impossible. So many incredible people and animals. I wish Bear could have shared it with me :)

    1. You don't. Momma just likes saying it because it sounds funny. Like when she says "That's coming out of your allowance!" :p
